Black and White

All my Black and White photos. I really like shooting in black and white because of the clear, cut images it presents.
Inspired by the film '500 days of summer' when most of the beuaty is above you rather than in front of you or on the ground. Taken in London

Taken on a vintage jewellery and clothes stall in Cambridge on the market

Venice: March 2013

So Frigging Indie

The idyll Venice scene: it was a v.misty on the first day but its kinda nice

Still confused on  how they can get their water so blue...and is it the sea or a river? Who knows

The group

Just outside the Praise in doubt of museum in Venice. I have also done a screen print of this.

Part of exhibibition inside said museum, where many inflatable toys were hanging in a room but when you touch them they were made out of steel and other hard wearing metal materials

The Big Heart

Part of the daily subject: Looking through

The Glass Island

Another Looking Through photo

This Glass making man on the Glass Island where he had loads of glass pieces which he could not sell due to chips. I have a piece made with real gold inside

Skull Screens

As part of my exam coursework, i worked back into my skulls and started to create some screen prints. I really dont know why i hadnt tried it sooner cause its so easy to do and creates loads of different types of art. I am looking to incoraparating this screen in with my final exam pieces. I started looking at the technique of printing over the top of the image moving the screen eacg time because i became instrested in moving photography and wanted to find out different techniques of creating such pieces. Here are some of the artwork i have recently created.

The orginal photo, I copied on to asitate, then coating a screen to then expose and create a stencil kind of thing shown below.

I dont know how to flip them upright: First experiment of screen using simular colours ie pinks and purple's.

A clearer example of the one above

A close up

Using different set of colours to create an electric feel: Yellow. Orange and Green

Incorparating this photo of myself in to my final piece being a transition from skull to face

Tester on different paper, this time on brown parcel paper which gives it an entirely different look

Long exposure and shutter speed

Recently, I have been trying to look for somthing to do as my final exam piece for A2 Art. The title is Inside, Outside and In Between. I started looking at the James Blake album cover by Alexander Brown alongside Idrhis Khan, the guy who did the Editors cover because of the explanation looking in between when a photo is being taken by lengthing the shutter speed. These are my best outcomes from my own personal study and has helped me with inspiration also from Gerhard Richter to do screen printings over one another moving slightly each time so it looks like the image is moving. I shall post some of my prints shortly......
